It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we, Grace Golden Eagle Netball Club, share the passing of our beloved teammate, Enica Nombela, who departed from us earlier today. Her loss has left an immeasurable void within our club, and we are united in grief as we come to terms with the passing of someone so cherished and deeply loved.
Enica was far more than a teammate—she was a friend, a sister, and a radiant soul who brought warmth, positivity, and strength to everyone around her. Her presence on and off the court was a source of encouragement and unity, and she had a special way of lifting others even in the most challenging moments. Through her kindness, spirit, and genuine care for those around her, she became an irreplaceable part of our team family.
On the court, Enica demonstrated dedication, passion, and determination. She played with heart and commitment, always giving her best for the team and inspiring others to do the same. Her energy was infectious, and her love for the game was evident in every match, every practice, and every moment she shared with us. Beyond her athletic ability, it was her character that truly defined her—humble, supportive, and full of life.
Off the court, Enica will be remembered for her laughter, her compassion, and the way she made people feel seen and valued. She built bonds that went beyond netball, creating friendships rooted in trust, kindness, and mutual respect. Her impact on those around her cannot be measured, only felt deeply in the memories she leaves behind.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. During this incredibly difficult time, we stand together in support, keeping them in our thoughts and prayers as we mourn this heartbreaking loss.
Though her time with us was far too short, Enica Nombela’s spirit will continue to live on in our hearts, in our memories, and in the legacy she leaves within our club. She will forever remain a part of the Grace Golden Eagle family.
