The community mourns the passing of Gabriela “Gabby” Rosario, who died on April 10, 2026. Born on February 24, 2000, in Queens, New York, Gabriela’s life, though far too brief, was filled with love, purpose, and meaningful connections that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Gabriela was a proud graduate of Catawba College, where she studied sociology and was also a dedicated member of the cheerleading team. Her time there reflected her energy, discipline, and ability to uplift those around her. She carried a spirit that blended determination with warmth, making her both a strong presence and a compassionate friend.
She shared a deeply loving relationship with her partner, Victor Ortiz, who stood beside her through life’s most meaningful moments. To her family, Gabriela was a devoted daughter and a loving sister—cherished by her parents, Francisca and Eduar Rosario, and her sisters, Francheska and Ashley. Her bond with them was rooted in love, loyalty, and unwavering support.
Those who knew Gabby remember her as a strong woman with a tender heart—someone who could be trusted with thoughts, feelings, and moments that mattered most. She was a loyal friend, a source of encouragement, and someone whose kindness left a lasting imprint on the lives she touched.
Her passing leaves an immeasurable void, felt deeply by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her. Yet, even in grief, there is gratitude for the time shared and the memories created. Her life, though short, was a blessing—one that continues to live on through those who carry her memory forward.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 1520 Rifle Range Road in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. A second viewing will be held on Monday, April 20, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM. Burial will take place afterward at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
To her family and loved ones, we extend our deepest condolences. May you find strength in one another and comfort in the love that surrounds you. Gabriela Rosario will be remembered with affection, respect, and enduring love. May she rest in peace.
