With heavy hearts, we remember and honor the beautiful life of Grace Measor, a remarkable 19-year-old whose strength, compassion, and spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Grace passed away following complications from a stem cell transplant after courageously battling acute lymphoblastic leukaemia—a fight she faced with resilience, grace, and unwavering determination. Though her journey was marked by immense challenges, she never allowed her illness to define her. Instead, she chose to live fully, love deeply, and inspire those around her every single day.
Described by her family as “a gift to the world,” Grace truly embodied that sentiment. She was bright, driven, and full of purpose—excelling in her studies and going on to pursue a career as a scientist. Her passion for research and renewable energy reflected her desire to make a meaningful difference. As her mother so beautifully said, Grace wanted to save the planet—and in so many ways, she made the world better simply by being in it.
Beyond her achievements, Grace was known for her warmth and her extraordinary ability to connect with others. She made friends wherever she went, leaving lasting impressions in every place her journey took her—from Nepal and Turkey to Spain, Austria, and beyond. She embraced life with curiosity and joy, creating memories that will forever be treasured by those who shared in her adventures.
In her final act of love, Grace wrote heartfelt letters to her family to be opened after her passing—messages filled with reassurance, courage, and a gentle reminder to embrace life fully. Even in goodbye, she gave them strength. Even in loss, she left behind comfort.
